User guide · Running the till
Cash, tabs, shout and club — and when to use each.
When you open the till you pick a mode for the session. The mode decides whether cash is involved, whether a member must be chosen, and how the sale is paid for.
A normal cash night. You set an opening float when you open the till and count the drawer when you close it. You can also charge a sale to a member’s tab if you pick a member first.
Account-only. Every sale is charged to a member’s tab — you must choose the member first. There is no cash drawer.
One member is shouting the bar. You lock that member at the start, ring up everything the group orders, then tap End Shout to charge the whole lot to that member’s account in one go.
The club is paying — for an event or a committee night. Sales are charged to the club’s own account rather than to a person.
Tabs, shout and club are cashless: there is no opening float and no cash count at close.
