Setting up your club

First-time setup, from a blank app to a working till.

The first time you open TillKiller on a device, you sign in and create your club. This is a one-time setup done by whoever will be the owner.

Sign the device in with an email address and password.
Give your club a name (you can change this later in Settings).
Create the owner: your name and a PIN (4–8 digits).
Work through the setup steps — your bar type, products, members.

The setup steps after the first two are optional and can be skipped and returned to later. You only need a bar type and a product or two to start ringing sales.

Choosing your bar type

Setup asks what kind of bar this is. The two choices are:

Tabs — members run an account; there is no cash drawer.
Cash — a cash drawer, with optional member tabs as well.

This sets the default, but an operator can still open the till in other modes (shout or club) for special events — see "Till modes".

Your PIN is private

PINs are stored scrambled and can never be read back, not even by us. If a PIN is forgotten, an owner resets it — it cannot be recovered.
